This painting is of a road near my home, but the painting is not about the road. It is about the light on the pines. I have often observed the setting sun illuminating the red pines that line the road, turning the trunks of the trees a bright orange as if they are on fire. This painting was completed during the Thirty in Thirty February 2018 Painting Challenge; Day 12.

This is an original pastel on archival paper.

It will be shipped to you unframed, safely protected with glassine paper between two foamcore boards.
